We first sat down with this beautiful couple just weeks before covid hit. We talked about their engagement, all their wedding dreams and how they imagined it would all turn out. All summer we stayed in touch and their plans remained the same until about two weeks before their big day! Lauren got the news that her dream venue and church had to cancel due to the new restrictions put on large gatherings. After many phone calls they found a beautiful outdoor venue in Middleville, Michigan called Bowen Mills, to hold both the ceremony and reception; and what a blessing this place turned out to be <3
GETTING READY AT BOWENS MILLS
We met Lauren at Bowen Mills mid-morning just as she was getting ready to have her hair and make-up done. The mood was very light and you could feel the excitement as the day was coming together. Lauren was such a laid back bride, she laughed often with her bridesmaids as she was getting ready. Many of the vendors for this wedding turned out to be friends and family; The cake, flowers, hair and makeup all were done by people she grew to know through volunteer work and they all did such a beautiful job!
Michael and his groomsmen arrived to Bowen mills a few hours after Lauren. They got ready in the old mill which made for some pretty great photos!

THE RECEPTION
There was a short cocktail hour before heading into the reception. With the ceremony and reception all in at the same venue Lauren & Michael were able to take some time before making their grand entrance. This reception was such a good time; They both have such beautiful and kind families.
